These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of sikhsocietyofflorida.org (the “Site”), operated by Sikh Society of Florida, a Florida non-profit religious organization. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Site, you confirm that you are able to form a binding agreement and that you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws. If you use the Site on behalf of another person, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

2. About Us

Sikh Society of Florida is a Gurdwara and non-profit religious organization serving the Sikh community and the wider public in South Florida. The Site is provided for informational, educational, and community purposes.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site respectfully and lawfully. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disrespectful;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems;
  • Interfere with the proper functioning or security of the Site;
  • Submit false, misleading, or abusive content through our forms;
  • Use automated means to scrape or harvest content or personal information.

4. Intellectual Property

The content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, and photographs of our Gurdwara — is the property of Sikh Society of Florida or is used with permission, and is protected by applicable laws. You may view and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not reproduce, republish, or use it commercially without our written permission. Sacred imagery and religious content should always be treated with respect.

5. Form Submissions

When you submit information through our contact, registration, or Seva forms, you are responsible for the accuracy of that information. By submitting, you consent to our contacting you regarding your request. Please see our Privacy Policy for how we handle the information you provide.

6. Donations & Payments

Donations made to Sikh Society of Florida support the Gurdwara’s religious, educational, and charitable activities, including Langar, Kirtan, maintenance, the Punjabi School, and building improvements.

Online donations and Zelle transfers are processed by third-party providers under their own terms. Please ensure any donation details are correct before submitting. If you believe an error has occurred with a donation, contact us promptly and we will do our best to assist.

7. Punjabi School Registration

Submitting a Punjabi School registration is a request to enroll and does not guarantee placement. Our team will contact you to confirm availability, class placement, and applicable fees. Fees and schedules are subject to change.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive for accuracy, some content — particularly historical and religious material — is provided in good faith and may be reviewed and updated. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sikh Society of Florida and its volunteers, committee members, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sikh Society of Florida and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts located in Broward County, Florida.
